FOX RIVER GROVE, IL — Even if there's no snow on the ground in Fox River Grove next weekend, the Winter Ski Jump Tournament is still planned to go on.

Norge officials may have to haul in snow from other states for this year's tournament, and, in the past, have bought shaved ice from nearby skating rinks or purchasing ice blocks, to make sure the event happens, event organizer Charlie Sedivec told the Northwest Herald.

Gates will open at the Norge Annual Winter Ski Jump Tournament, which is in its 118th year, at 11 a.m. on Jan. 28 and 29. Ski jumping will run from noon to 4 p.m. both days. Tickets are available for purchase online, and the event will also include a VIP area, which was first opened to the public last year, this year.
