She was born on March 14, 1955 in Chicago to Lewis and Patricia Kellogg.

Laura is survived by her mother Patricia Kellogg; her sister Lynn (Bruce) Behrns; her brother Daniel (Carolyn Martin) Kellogg; her nephews, Joshua (Annie) Behrns and Adam (Kristin) Behrns; grandniece, Lily; and grandnephew Carter.
