New Sushi Bar, Chinese Restaurant Coming To Crystal Lake
Both restaurants are slated to open along West Virginia Avenue in 2018.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – The owner of a popular Chinese restaurant in McHenry is planning to open two new restaurants in Crystal Lake next year. The first restaurant will be a sit-down Chinese-style restaurant while the other will include a sushi bar with an area for visitors to enjoy some evening entertainment and cocktails, according to a news release from the city of Crystal Lake. Perry Moy, who owns Plum Garden in McHenry, and his sons are looking to open the restaurants at 446 W. Virginia St. in Crystal Lake in 2018.
The sit-down Chinese restaurant the family plans to open will include menu items similar to those known and loved at Plum Garden in McHenry. The other restaurant concept will consist of a sushi bar with an area to relax, unwind, socialize and enjoy some evening entertainment over cocktails, according to city officials.
The restaurants will be located in the former Porter's Oyster Bar in Crystal Lake.
