Person Suffers Traumatic Injuries During Tree Removal Accident
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon at a home in Crystal Lake.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL -- A person suffered a traumatic injury following an accident, which occurred while a tree removal company was working at a home in Crystal Lake Saturday afternoon, fire officials said. The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was called to the 6900 block of New Hampshire Trail at 1:54 p.m. on Sept. 22. Emergency personnel first at the scene found a tree removal company using a stump grinder at the local residence.
The person was severely injured and was taken by Flight for Life helicopter to a suburban hospital in critical condition.

The Crystal Lake Police Department and McHenry County Sheriff's Office also assisted at the scene and with the investigation.
