Personal Assistant Services
Become a personal assistant to an individual with a disability!
Lake County Center for Independent Living offers free services to people with disabilities. If you live in Lake or McHenry County and have a disability, any disability, then you qualify. The Personal Assistant (PA) program is for those who need a PA to complete daily activities. In this program you can find: trained PA's from a referral list, learn how to hire and manage your PA, and receive help to apply for the Home Services Program through the state of IL to pay for the PA. If you are someone interested in becoming a personal assistant, you can also contact the Lake County CIL to sign up for training and join the referral list at 847-949-4440. There are two upcoming PA Training's available to attend!!
