Planet Fitness Opens First McHenry Co. Gym in Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL -- Planet Fitness has opened it first McHenry County gym in a strip mall in Crystal Lake

The 20,000-square-foot-space is located next to Fresh Thyme Farmers Market at 5320 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake. Like other Planet Fitness locations, the Crystal Lake Planet Fitness offers an extensive selection of the latest cardio equipment at a low price. The cost to join is $1 down and $10 per month.

The Planet Fitness is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, according to a news release.

The Crystal Lake club also features a PF Black Card Spa, with multi-level tanning and HydroMassage beds. Unlimited fitness training is also included in all memberships at no additional charge.

Chris Rondeau, chief executive officer of Planet Fitness, said in a statement, the health club provides “a judgment free, high-quality fitness experience that is accessible and affordable to everyone.”
