Police Looking for Man Who Covered Victim’s Mouth, Told Her to ‘Go to Sleep’
The suspicious incident occurred at a business in Cary .

The Cary Police Department is looking for a suspect who stated he was a chiropractor and covered a woman’s mouth and told her to “go to sleep” after offering to give the woman an evaluation Thursday afternoon.
The suspicious incident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. at a business on West Main Street in Cary, according to a police department press release. The woman told police the suspect entered the business and inquired about nearby vacant businesses.
During their discussion, the suspect stated that he was a chiropractor, police said. The suspect offered to evaluate the victim and she accepted. During the evaluation, the man covered the victim’s mouth from behind with his hand and asked her to “go to sleep,” according to a news release.

The woman was able to free herself and asked the man to leave, which he did.
The suspect is described as an older male white with white hair who was wearing a dark jacket, dark shoes and blue jeans. The suspect was last seen by the victim walking across the street to the Harris Bank, 122 West Main Street in Cary, where he got into a vehicle and drove away from the scene in an unknown direction of travel.

The suspect vehicle was described as a gold Buick Century or LeSabre with an Illinois license plate beginning with “Y” or “A7.”
