Police Probe Death Of Toddler Found Unresponsive At Day Care
The 23-month-old boy was found unresponsive at a daycare in Island Lake and later died at a Chicago hospital.
ISLAND LAKE, IL — An investigation is underway after a 23-month-old boy was found unresponsive at an Island Lake day care facility.
The Daily Herald is reporting the Island Lake Police Department responded to the facility in the 200 block of West Burnett Road at about 8:45 a.m. on April 25 where they found the toddler, who was not responding or breathing. The boy was taken to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry and then to Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago where he later died.
Forensic pathology results are pending, and the cause of the boys' death remains under investigation.
