Prairie Grove D46 Sensitive to Community's Financial Burdens

School district reduces student fees for 2018-2019

Prairie Grove District 46 is sensitive to the financial burdens that our valued community members face. In an effort to ease these pressures, Administration recommended the elimination of multiple 2018-2019 "add-on" student registration fees including:

· Uniform rental fees

· Classroom consumable material fees

· Physical education supplemental fees

· Instructional supply fees

In addition, for the third consecutive year, Administration recommended no inflationary increases to 2018-2019 standard - student textbook fees. As demonstrated by the following local survey results, the district's standard – textbook fees remains in the lower half of all McHenry County school districts:
