Public Feedback Sought On Intersection With History Of Crashes
The Illinois Division of Transportation is looking to make improvements on Route 14 at Hartland/Hughes roads in McHenry County.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The public is invited to learn more from the preliminary findings from an engineering and environment study for Route 14 at Hartland/Hughes roads in McHenry County and provide their feedback on the project.
The Illinois Department of Transportation is encouraging public participation from Jan. 30 to Feb. 24 through the project website, which can be found here: www.us14hartlandhughes.com/. The public can watch a presentation about the study, view exhibits and leave comments.
The improvements are necessary due to crash history and frequency at the intersection, according to transportation officials. Short-term countermeasures were implemented in 2018, and the purpose of the study is to assess the existing safety needs and evaluate long-term safety countermeasures to improve safety and operations at the intersection.
