Public Works Employee Seriously Injured After Being HIt by SUV on Miller Road
The employee became pinned between an SUV and a construction trailer. He was taken by helicopter to a hospital.

A city of Crystal Lake public works employee completing roadway repairs on Miller Road Friday morning was seriously injured after being hit by an SUV, authorities said.
The employee was completing the repairs on Miller Road, just east of Golf Course Road, when a Mitsubishi SUV headed east on Miller Road hit the employee at about 8:46 a.m. on Friday, according to a news release.
The employee became pinned between the SUV and a construction trailer.

The man was flown from the scene to an area hospital and suffered “severe injuries,” according to the news release. The female driver of the Mitsubishi was transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation. At this time there are no road closures due to this incident.
