Queen Victoria's "Secrets" Topic of WFAA Annual Luncheon Fundraiser
Sexy, beguiling, revealing! A saucy and lighthearted presentation by Debra Mancoff awaits on April 28 at the 37th Annual Fundraiser

The Woodstock Fine Arts Association will hold its annual spring luncheon on Friday, April 28 at Boulder Ridge Country Club, Lake-in-the-Hills. Debra N. Mancoff, a Scholar-in-Residence at the Newberry Library and author of more than twenty books, will be the featured speaker.

"We rarely think of Queen Victoria laughing or loving, and we never think of her as amused," says Dr. Mancoff, who writes about the connections between art, fashion and culture. "But her journals, letters, and photographs reveal a beguiling and passionate woman, especially when it came to men.
"This lighthearted look at the three men who ruled her heart-her mentor Lord Melbourne; the love of her life, Prince Albert; and her Highland manservant, John Brown-reveals that even Queen Victoria had some sexy secrets."
The event, which includes a silent auction and raffle, funds WFAA's scholarship program and supports the arts in McHenry County. Tickets for the luncheon are:
$60 each "Early Bird" price if postmarked by Friday, April 14
$70 each thereafter
No reservations accepted after Thursday, April 20
