Renovated Woodscreek Park Opens to the Public

Picnic shelter reservations accepted beginning in January 2015

Woodscreek Park (1420 Willow Tree, Crystal Lake), a Crystal Lake Park District park, quietly reopened to the public in mid-November. Watch for a Grand Opening Celebration early next summer.
• The new park includes:
• 60% more parking spaces
• Permanent baggo and bocce courts
• Improved sand volleyball court
• Expanded tennis courts
• Castle themed playground and splash pad
• Bioswales, rain gardens and a water feature
• A second fishing pier
Stop by before the snow piles up and enjoy some chilly outdoor fun! The picnic shelter can be reserved for next year beginning in January 2015.
A master redevelopment plan for the 20 year old park was approved by the Park District Board of Commissioners in 2011 and a grant from the Illinois Department of Resources was awarded to partially fund the project.

Questions can be directed to Ann Viger, Director of Planning and Development, at (815) 459-0680 x 1205 or aviger@crystallakeparks.org
