GRAYSLAKE, IL — Several Grayslake residents are voicing their opposition to a developer's proposal to build a new Casey's General Store at the southwest corner of Lake Street and Belvidere Road.

Over the past week, green yard signs could be spotted around town that read, "Yes to Grayslake, No to Casey's Gas Station," according to the Daily Herald. Those opposed to the gas stationfear the addition will lower property values for Grayslake residents, cause traffic woes in the area, and cause a revenue loss for nearby small businesses.

The plan calls for Lake Street Motors, which leases the building at 302 S. Lake St., to move, according to the article.
