Retro Bistro Opens Downtown Crystal Lake Location

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - Suburban chef Chris Barth has opened a second Retro Bistro. His newest location opened on June 15 in downtown Crystal Lake.

Crystal Lake’s Retro Bistro is located at 83 N. William Street. Barth opened his first Retro Bistro in 1990 in Mount Prospect with his two partners, according to the Daily Herald. Barth bought out his partners 18 years ago so he and his wife could become the full owner of the Mount Prospect location and, now, their newly-opened Crystal Lake restaurant.

The restaurant serves up “elegant French and tuscan cuisine” with main dishes on the menu including: provencal merguez sausage & pancetta pasta, flamed steak au poivre, confit leg of duck and grilled duck sausage and a seafood pasta dish. The full menu can be viewed here.
