Richard Walker’s Pancake House

Overview: Richard Walker serves award-winning breakfast meals and the restaurant goes the extra step with attractive presentation, great service and elegant décor.

 Decor: Comfortable and elegant with a large, central fireplace. Something not often found in breakfast restaurants, Richard Walkers Crystal Lake location has a two-story circular bar room, the perfect place to sip on a mimosa or bloody Mary.

 Breakfast: Richard Walker Pancake House is famous for its pancakes, particularly the gourmet, baked apple pancake. The restaurant also serves a variety of original pancakes, crepes, waffles and egg dishes.

A breakfast restaurant is not complete without great coffee and Richard Walker has won awards for its java. It starts with quality coffee, fresh ground per pot, and topped with pure whipping cream.

Service: “We try, when people come in, to get them seated as fast as we can, get their drinks as soon as they sit down and get their food out as soon as possible,” said Barb Kaminsky, assistant manager.

 Lunch: There are monthly lunch specials and soup of the day served in a bread bowl, as well as burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads.
