Sage Products to Create 350 Jobs in Cary by 2021

The company will expand by 27 acres.

CARY, IL – After Sage Products in Cary has seen 12 straight years of double-digit growth, the company is undergoing a 27-acre expansion. This is expected to help create 350 jobs within five years, Village Administrator Chris Clark announced.

“We’re very, very connected with the community and McHenry County,” Clark said according to Northwest Herald. “There’s an excellent workforce, good community relationships and we’re proud to call Cary home.”

Sage Products is a medical device maker company located at 3909 Three Oaks Roads.

In the first phase of the expansion project, the company plans to purchase vacant land east of it's current property. They also plan to build a 200,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution expansion with relocated shipping docks and added parking, Clark said Tuesday at the Cary Village Board meeting, Northwest Herald reported.

The new warehousing and distribution expansion would create about 50 new jobs by 2018, Clark said.

Sage Products expects to complete the second phase of the project by 2021, where they'll add 610,000 square feet of warehouse, manufacturing, office and parking space. This will create about 300 jobs.

“It would be a significant step forward,” Clark said. “We have hundreds of residents that work at Sage, and the county has many hundreds of residents that work at Sage – and the best part of it is job retention and job creation.”
