Santa Wonderland Extravaganza Coming to Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Area residents can register now for a new holiday event being put on by the Crystal Lake Park District this year. Santa's Wonderland Extravaganza will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Grand Oaks, 1401 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

The event is meant for kids ages 3 to 10 years old. There will be a variety of games, activities, crafts and more at his years event, including:

• Visits with Santa·
• Storytime With Mrs. Claus-1:15pm and 2:15pm
• Performance by CLPD Dance Academy Performance Company-on the stage at 1:30pm and 2:30pm
• Ice Cream Cone Decorating-sponsored by Dunkin
• Snowman Duck Pond Game
• Penguin Bowling
• Snowball Toss
• Pin The Nose On Rudolph
• Candy Cane Ring Toss
• Coloring Pages
• Letters to Santa
• Paper Plate Christmas Tree Craft
• Snowman Ornament Craft
• Mini Kazoo Craft
• Picture Frame Craft

The deadline to register is Dec. 1 and the cost is $10 per child. Those interested in attending can register for program code #121402-01 online at crystallakeparks.org or in person at the Crystal Lake Park District Administrative Office, One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake.
