Several Rescued From Pond After Dock Collapse

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — No one was injured when a dock collapsed and several people fell into a pond Sunday afternoon in Crystal Lake, authorities said. The incident occurred at 1:49 p.m. on Sunday near 6102 E. Hillside Road. After falling into the water, several people got stuck in the mud at the bottom of the pond, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department.

All victims were quickly removed from the pond and evaluated by ambulance crews, fire officials said. No one was transported to the hospital and no firefighters were injured.
