Sexual Predator Found on School Property: Police
The registered child sex offender was arrested by Woodstock police this past week.

WOODSTOCK, IL — A child sex offender was arrested this past week after he was found to be on school property in Woodstock, police said. Police found Michael Colberg, a registered sexual predator, on the property at St. Mary’s School, 320 Lincoln Avenue in Woodstock, at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, according to a news release from the Woodstock Police Department. Colberg, 30, who is homeless, was taken into custody without incident.
He has since been charged with unlawful presence of a child sex offender within a school zone.
Colberg remains in custody at the McHenry County Jail. His bail has been set at $2,500 and he is next expected in court on May 2.
