Small Plane Crashes At Grayslake Airport

The plane crashed Monday night. No injuries were reported.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — A small plane crashed at Campbell Airport in Grayslake on Monday night, authorities said. The Grayslake Fire Protection District responded and found a single-engine aircraft off the runway and nose down in a field in the 22000 block of Townline Road at about 7:20 p.m., according to a news release.

The pilot was assessed for injuries and refused to be transported to the hospital. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified of the incident.
