Stranded Semis, Cars Leave Route 14 Impassable Near Harvard: Police
Multiple vehicles re stranded between Harvard and the state line Monday morning, authorities said.
HARVARD, IL — A stretch of Route 14 between the Harvard city limits and the Wisconsin state line is currently impassable due to multiple semi trucks and other vehicles stuck in the roadway, authorities said Monday morning.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area while crews work to clear the stranded vehicles and reopen the road, according to a post on the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Even as snowfall begins to taper off Monday morning, officials warn that strong winds are continuing to blow snow across roadways, keeping many areas snow covered and hazardous for drivers.
