Summer Moon Coffee Opens First IL Location In Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Summer Moon Coffee will open its first Illinois location in the Pingree Shopping Center near Three Oaks Recreation Area in January.

“My husband Jesse and I have always wanted to own our own business. It has been a dream of ours for many years. Summer Moon Coffee allows us to make this dream a reality and presents us with a chance to have a positive impact on the local community," Emily Moffitt said.

The Texas-based company serves up coffee made from organic coffee beans that are roasted over an open flame in a brick roaster.
"We love the culture of Summer Moon, treating our customers and employees like family, and making someone's day a little brighter with our amazing Oak Roasted Coffee and Moon Milk," said Emily Moffitt.

The coffee shop will be open at the Pingree Shopping Center, which includes Mario Tricoci Salon and Corporate America Family Credit Union. Located at 625 Cog Circle, Unit D, Summer Moon Coffee will have a drive-thru, free wifi and outdoor seating.
Abantu Arts Fusion formerly occupied the space Summer Moon is moving into, Heather Maieritsch, economic development manager, told Patch in an email response.
Summer Moon will host a grand opening event from 7 a.m. to noon on Jan. 7. The first 50 guests will receive a Summer Moon swag bag and everyone stopping out will get a free oak roasted coffee and moon milk.
The new coffee shop will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends and from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on week days.
