Summer Projects Get Underway at D155 Schools
The $14.6 million in projects, include kitchen classroom remodels, tennis courts replacement, air conditioning, and parking lot replacements
From D155: D155 summer projects are underway at all four high schools as part of the 2019 Capital Improvements Project. The Board of Education approved $14,552,000 in capital projects, including kitchen classroom remodels, tennis courts replacement, air conditioning, and parking lot replacements.
“During our strategic planning process, students, staff, and parents expressed the need to improve and update our facilities,” said Steve Olson, D155 superintendent. “This summer, we plan on fulfilling those requests, and we hope these enhancements will give our students and staff the opportunity to be successful in the years to come.”
District officials will also give taxpayers an inside look at the progress throughout the summer with weekly video updates. Those updates will be published on its website and social media channels to inform taxpayers and the community. Follow @CHSD155 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates throughout the summer or go on the district’s website, www.d155.org.
There are a total of twenty-two projects. The work is expected to be complete before students and staff return for the 2019-2020 school year.
