Support Our Troops Local Campaign
Veterans Day was observed on the stage of Prairie Ridge High School.
14 veterans took part on a panel at Prairie Ridge High School where a question-and-answer session took place for each and every social studies class of the day.
Two checks totaling $700 from the St. Thomas the Apostle Crystal Lake Knights of Columbus were presented signaled the start of this years Operation “Support our Troops America” campaign in Crystal Lake. Operation Support Our Troops America sends much-needed care packages and support items to our troops stationed throughout the world.
Participating organizations in this year’s drive are Sage products, Dura-Bar Metal Services, Joe’s barbershop, Country donuts, American Community Bank, JA Frate, Prairie Ridge High School, Crystal Lake South High School, Hussmann Grammar School, Woodstock Police Department and Teq Packaging.

Donations can be dropped at Joe’s Barbershop, Country Donuts, JAFrate in Crystal Lake or any of the four American Community Bank locations in McHenry County.
JAFrate will be having their community wide drive on Saturday, November 22th from 9 AM until 2 PM....Information on this year’s drive and what items are needed can be found on JAFrate Facebook.
