Teen Stole Jeep From Cary Car Wash: Cops

The 18-year-old Chicago man now faces a felony theft charge in connection with the October theft.

CARY, IL — A Chicago teen is accused of stealing a Jeep outside a Cary car wash while the vehicle was being dried, authorities said. Dimari Terry, 18, was linked to the theft, which occurred on Oct. 18 at Cary Car Wash, 820 W. Northwest Highway, after the SUV was used in a crime in Chicago, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen around 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 18 and was last seen that day driving west on Route 18, away from the car wash.

Terry has been charged with theft over $10,000, a class 2 felony, and his bond has been set at $40,000. He is currently in custody at the Cook County Jail for charges relating to the incident that recently occurred in Chicago, police said.
