That's Amore Pizza Closes Following Fire
The business will need to undergo repairs before reopening. A fire that started in a pizza oven damaged the business Thursday night.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — That's Amore Pizza will close for repairs following a Thursday night oven fire at the downtown Crystal Lake business.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was called to the restaurant at 105 N. Main Street at about 9:20 p.m. Friday. An employee reported the blaze started in a pizza oven before spreading into the oven's ductwork and then into the roof of the business, according to a news release from the fire department.
Fire crews were able to bring the blaze under control by 9:50 p.m. The business sustained smoke damage and fire damage to the roof. The business will remain closed until repairs can be made, and the McHenry County Department of Health gives its approval to resume food service.

Damage to the business and its contents is estimated at $10,000. No one was injured in the blaze.
