TLC Hosts Pollinator Garden Walk in Woodstock

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County invites local residents to a pollinator garden walk on Saturday, July 27 at 9:00 a.m.

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County (TLC) invites local residents to a pollinator garden walk on Saturday, July 27 at 9:00 a.m. at the Mariposa Meander Pollinator Garden in Woodstock. The event is free, and no registration is required.

Participants will learn about the one-year-old garden and its native plants, the pollinators they support, and receive tips for planting pollinator-friendly plants at home. Mariposa Meander is a 50’ x 50’ garden that is open to the public and features benches, paths and signage. The garden is the result of a partnership between the City of Woodstock and TLC.

Participants can park and meet at Ryder's Woods for a short woodland walk to the pollinator garden. Ryder’s Woods is located at 750 Kimball Ave. in Woodstock.

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is a member-based private nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural, scenic and agricultural land.
