2 Charged After Stabbing Near High School Sends Teen To Hospital
Authorities say an 18-year-old was seriously injured and airlifted for treatment following a campus-area altercation.
JOHNSBURG, IL — Two 18-year-old men have been charged following a stabbing near Johnsburg High School that left one teen seriously injured and flown to the hospital, according to authorities.
Police said the incident occurred after a physical altercationnear the school, where one of the teens — an 18-year-old Wonder Lake man — was stabbed in the torso with a knife, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
Coltyn S. Crawford, 18, of Wonder Lake, and Benjamin J. Ramirez, 18, of Johnsburg, have both been charged with battery in connection with the incident, according to the article.

The 18-year-old man was flown to a hospital where he underwent an emergency surgery, according to a GoFundMe set up to help pay for medical expenses.
"(The teen) is in the ICU Trauma Center and we are still unsure when he will be able to come home," a family member wrote in the GoFundMe.
