VIDEO: Fans Camp Out for Gift Certificates at Chick-Fil-A

More than 200 people showed up at the new Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Crystal Lake with hopes of making it into the "First 100" group.

 

Fans of the chicken chain food restaurant, Chick-Fil-A, traveled from near and far Wednesday with hopes of making it into the "First 100."

The "First 100" is a group of fans who are selected through the lottery system. The fans camp out for 24 hours prior to the restaurant's grand opening at 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9.

Those who make it through the 24-hour campout period get the honor of being the first in the building, located at 4812 Route 14 in Crystal Lake, on Thursday. Each of the 100 adults will receive 52 gift certificates for a combination meal good for the next year. The coupons are valued at more than $350, according to Chick-Fil-A.
