VIDEOS: Fox River Dyed Green, St. Paddy's Fireworks
Area residents were out in droves celebrating everything Irish this past St. Patrick's Day weekend.

It was a good weekend to be Irish. But, even if you weren't Irish, there was plenty of fun to be had in the area. Patch was out in the community, capturing some of the festivities through Facebook Live videos.
On Saturday morning, McHenry was up and out early to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. In green outfits and with a mix of those holding coffee and others holding green beer, people packed the Pearl Street bridge just before 10 a.m. to watch as a speedboats went back and forth dumping green dye into the Fox River. It was the first time the Fox River in McHenry was dyed green for the holiday.
Our Facebook Live video shows as the dyeing got underway.
