Village Of Cary: Village Hall Is Moving And Will Be Closed December 14 At 2pm Through December 16

In the summer of 2019, the Village completed a space needs analysis, which determined a new facility would more efficiently meet the operational needs of the Village Hall and Police Department. The Village began construction on the new Municipal Center in September 2020. The new 21,000 square-foot facility houses both the Village Hall and Police Department. This project was made possible through the issuance of the general obligations bond in the amount of $11,200,000. No tax increase was necessary for the design and construction of the municipal center.

Staff will move into the building beginning Wednesday, December 15th. The Village encourages residents to complete any necessary business with the Village by 2:00 p.m. December 14th or wait until the week of December 20th as some services may be unavailable during the moving process. The Village of Cary’s new Municipal Center located at 755 Georgetown Drive will be open to the public on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 8:30 a.m.

An open house will be held on December 14th with tours for the public beginning at 4:00 pm. The Municipal Center’s address is 755 Georgetown Drive.
