Water Main Break Causing Traffic Delays Along Route 176

City officials are urging motorists to avoid the area of Route 176 and Oak Street Monday following a water main break.

The break occurred on Route 176 just west of Oak Street. Repairs are scheduled to get underway at about 9 a.m., according to a city of Crystal Lake press release.

Eastbound traffic around this area will be shifted to the center lane and some turn lanes into area businesses may be impacted. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area if possible due to traffic delays.

Normal traffic is expected to resume at 5 p.m.
