High Wind Warning Issued for Chicago Area Through Tonight

Wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

A high wind warning is now in effect for the Chicago area through 10 p.m. tonight.

Wind gusts up to 60 mph are expected. The high wind could make travel difficult and loose objects will be thrown around, according to the National Weather Service.

A high wind warning means sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph are possible and could cause property damage, according to the National Weather Service.
