Winter Storm Report: Live Radar, School Closings, Roadway Conditions
Stay informed during the winter storm.

A combination of sleet, freezing rain and snow is expected to turn to all snow Tuesday morning for much of the suburbs. A light coating of ice is possible and could create slick roads this morning. Between one to four inches of total snow is expected for Lake and McHenry counties with lower snowfall totals are expected in Cook, DuPage, and Kane counties.

Only a handful of closings had been reported at area schools as of 9:15 p.m. Monday night. St. John’s Lutheran School in Libertyville will be closed Tuesday and Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights will be opening late at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
