Woman, 25, Found Dead In Vehicle In Crystal Lake: Police

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department is investigating the death of a 25-year-old woman whose body was found in a car early Sunday, authorities said.

Officers responded to the area of Woodstock and Minnie streets shortly after midnight for a report of an unconscious person in the vehicle, according to a news release from the police department. Police "quickly determined" the woman was dead, and the McHenry County Coroner's Office was called to the scene.

Authorities say there is no threat to the public as a result of the death. Anyone with information regarding the woman's death is encouraged to call police at 815-356-3620, and anyone with a cell phone can submit an anonymous tip by texting CLPDTIP along with tip information to 847411.

The woman's cause of the death is under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
