Woman Found Dead In Car Took Her Own Life: Coroner
The 26-year-old Chicago woman was found dead in a vehicle in the Metra parking lot on Sunday.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 26-year-old woman who was found dead in a car in the Crystal Lake Metra parking lot Sunday took her own life, according to the McHenry County Coroner's Office.
The coroner's office identified the woman Monday as Ayanna Bennett, 26, of Chicago. Preliminary findings from an autopsy revealed she died from a fatal gunshot wound to the head, according to the coroner's office statement.
The Crystal Lake Police Department was called to the parking lot shortly after midnight on Sunday for a report of an unconscious person in the vehicle. Officers "quickly determined" she was dead, according to a police news release.
