Woodstock Fine Arts Association: a gift of service to Moynihan

A necklace, one adorned with 3 pearls, was gifted by WFAA president Gitlin to past president Moynihan

Service. Dedication. A necklace with three pearls was presented to past president Kristi Moynihan in commemoration of her service to the Woodstock Fine Arts Association. Current president Paulette Gitlin presented the gift at a recent WFAA meeting. "One pearl for each year of service as president has been a traditional gift," says Gitlin. "Kristi has been a selfless leader, and we still appreciate her continued work. This is a remarkable organization with an impressive 54-year history of accomplishments. It is a privilege to work with such a devoted group of talented women."

The 2017-2018's executive board president is Paulette Gitlin. She is joined by vice president Ellen O'Rourke, secretary Gay Mather and treasurer Becky Medins. General board members include: Maggie Amis, Mary Ellen Prindiville, Sharon Chewning, Julie Grant, Sue Kazlusky, Jane Koehler, Darlene LeCrone, Barb Neely, Marsha Portnoy and Kristi Moynihan.

Woodstock Fine Arts Association is a not-for-profit 501 (3)(c), volunteer-run organization devoted to promoting the arts in McHenry County and preserving the Woodstock Opera House. Since 1961, this group has worked to produce vibrant arts programming for all ages, from school children to adults as well as scholarships to area high school students. The WFAA focuses on four primary programs: Creative Living Series, Children’s Program, Scholarship, and Talent Showcase. The WFAA season’s only fundraising event is the annual Spring Luncheon.
