Woodstock Police Try to Track Down Car in Fatal Hit and Run

David P. Anderson, 43, was struck by a small red car on Route 14 on March 30 and died at an area hospital, police said.

WOODSTOCK, IL - Police in Woodstock are hoping the public will be able to help the identify the driver in a fatal hit and run. The hit and run happened on March 30 at about 9:48 p.m. on Route 14 near Lake Shore Drive. A small red car hit David P. Anderson, 43, of Woodstock, before fleeing the scene west on Route 14 toward Route 47.

Paramedics took Anderson to Centegra Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to a news release from the Woodstock Police Department.

Authorities are continuing to work to identify the driver in the crash and have released photos of the small red car believed to have hit Anderson, police said. Police do not know the make or model of the car.
