Local Man Wins Big on Lottery Ticket from Crystal Lake Circle K
Hal Gena bought the winning ticket at the Circle K in Crystal Lake.
WOODSTOCK, IL - A Woodstock resident recently won big in the Illinois Lottery, lottery officials said Monday.
Hal Gena won a $575,000 Lucky Day Lotto prize when his Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers in an April 4 drawing. Gena plans to use his windfall to pay bills and will bank the rest into savings, according to a news release.
Gena purchased his winning ticket at Circle K, 681 W. Terra Cotta Ave., in Crystal Lake. Circle K received a bonus of $5,750, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

Two winning tickets shared the April 4 Lucky Day Lotto $1,150,000 jackpot. The other $575,000 winning ticket was sold in Palos Hills.
