Woodstock Schools on Lockdown as Fox Lake Manhunt Continues

A McHenry County school district has joined several other Lake County schools placed on lockdown Tuesday after a police officer was shot and killed in Fox Lake.

All Woodstock School District 200 schools, Marian Central Catholic High School and St. Mary School are operating on soft lockdown Tuesday and are keeping students indoors this afternoon, according to the Woodstock Independent.

The lockdown is in response to the shooting death of a police officer this morning in Fox Lake. A manhunt is underway for three suspects accused in the shooting.

Several area school districts have been placed on lockdown Tuesday.
