Worker Flown To Trauma Center After Falling From Crystal Lake Roof

A man in his 30s suffered minor injuries after falling from the roof of a single-story home, fire officials said.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A man in his 30s was flown to a Level 1 trauma center after falling from the roof of a Crystal Lake home while reportedly working, according to fire officials.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded around 8:12 p.m. on July 26 to the 1000 block of Coventry Lane for a report of a fall victim, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.

Deputy Chief Mark Menzel said paramedics found the man conscious at the scene after he fell from the roof of a single-story residence, and he was taken with minor injuries to a Level 1 trauma center for additional treatment.

Menzel said officials have not determined why he was on the roof or whether he was a resident or contractor, according to the article.
