Worker Seriously Injured In Electrical Accident At Dollar General Construction Site
The man suffered an electrical injury and fell from a ladder Wednesday at the Woodstock store, officials said.
WOODSTOCK, IL — A construction worker was critically injured Wednesday after suffering an electrical injury and falling from a ladder at a Dollar General store under construction in Woodstock, officials said.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called to 2020 N. Seminary Ave. around 1:10 p.m. Sept. 16 for a report of a person who had sustained a significant electrical injury. Paramedics found a man in his 40s semi-conscious inside the building. Initial reports indicated he had been working from a tall ladder when he suffered the electrical injury and then fell, according to a news release.
Because of the severity of his injuries, a medical helicopter was called to the scene. The man was flown to Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside in Rockford with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The city of Woodstock Building and Planning Department also responded to the scene following the incident.
