Yelp: Best Area Restaurants With Outdoor Seating

After weeks of cold and snow and rain and gloomy, dark skies, warmer temperatures are finally here. 

With that in mind, we turned to Yelp.com to find out which area restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating are the top-rated. Here is a rundown of those restaurants:

1. Expressly Leslie Vegetarian Specialties, 110 S Johnson St. in Woodstock. “I cannot believe this amazing place exists in McHenry County," said one Yelp reviewer.
2. Van’s Frozen Custard & Burgers, 16 E. Main St. in East Dundee.
3. Algonquin Sub Shop, 105 Filip St. in Algonquin. "It's especially great in the summer because they (have) a cute little patio area with umbrella tables you can eat at," according to one Yelp reviewer.
   
4. Bubs Subs, 260 S Randall Road in Algonquin
5. The Measuring Cup, 217 Barrington Ave. in East Dundee
6. Tracks, 108 W. Main St. in Cary.
7. Huntley Dairy Mart, 10706 N Il Route 47 in Huntley
8. Coleman’s In Cary, 645 Industrial Drive in Cary. One reviewer writes on Yelp: " Exceptional service. Best hamburgers in the Northwest Suburbs (half price on Thursdays). Great outdoor patio. A weekly 'must' for me."
9. Benedict’s La Strata, 40 N. Williams St. in Crystal Lake.
10. El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant, 314 Lincoln Ave. in Cary. One Yelp reviewer says: "Really good food. Really good staff. The outdoor patio has really nice ambience during the summer too. Homemade salsa is a winner. Guacamole always fresh."

Other great choices for outdoor seating in the area include:

• Bandito Barney’s Beach Club, 10 N. River St. in East Dundee
• Port Edward Restaurant, 20 W. Algonquin Road in Algonquin. “It's right next to the Fox River with a beautiful view, boat docks, and two parks right next to downtown Algonquin," according to one Yelp review
• Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen, 110 N. Main St. in Crystal Lake
