Youth Bowling – A Great Sport for All Kids!

Bowling is a sport that can be enjoyed by all kids and doesn't require you to be a super athlete. Bowling promotes teamwork !

Parents, how many times have you heard any or all of the following from your kids? I know I heard these plenty from my son.

I’m not athletic or tall or strong or fast enough to play that sport/activity!
I’m no good at anything! I tried a sport last year and I was horrible at it.
It’s just a waste of time, I’d rather just stay at home.

We believe a youth bowling league, Junior Bowling in particular, can help change your child’s mindset and provide them a social activity that will be with them forever.

Why Bowling?

Bowling is one of the few sports that can be started at any age. Your son or daughter doesn’t need years of experience to play.
Youth bowlers can start immediately with some initial coaching and be successful. It really doesn’t matter if you are short, tall, heavy, skinny, fast or slow, bowling is a sport that can adapt to your abilities.
Bowling increases your child’s confidence as they improve. We’ve had many kids with low self esteem and inner confidence blossom over the course of a 10 week season.
Many years ago, Ella (not her real name), started the season as a shy young lady with little confidence in herself or her abilities. The first few weeks she started out slowly as bowling was a new sport for her.
As the weeks went by, Ella interacted more with her team and the coaches. She improved her game, was excited to tell her parents about the weekly patches (awards) she received and was early to bowling every week.
At the end of the season, Ella show increased confidence, was more outgoing and she won an award for most improved bowler.
If your child enjoys the sport of bowling, they can continue to participate in tournaments that can provide them money for college. There is over $6 Million in college scholarships provided by the Bowling Industry each year.
This doesn’t count the scholarships available from the colleges themselves. Youth tournaments, ours included, provide youth winnings to each youth through USBC’s SMART program. The SMART program provides a central account where
your child’s funds are available after high school and can be applied to their college, technical school, trade school expenses.
Bowling is a social activity

Too often our kids are buried in handheld games and smartphones and not interacting with the world around them. Youth Bowling provides a place where kids are required to interact with each other.
Teams are small and require interaction between the team to be successful. There are no bench-warmers in Bowling, everyone must interact and bowl to be successful together.
Bowling gives kids a chance to interact with other kids outside of the immediate social circle. They meet other kids from different schools, districts and neighborhoods.
Bowling gives kids a chance to also interact with the family. Bowling is for all ages and they are a great alternative for families to bond together over an activity that everyone is playing.
