Zephyrs Keep the Fun in the Run

The Zephyr Fun Runs are open to middle school students and consist of a comfortable, conversational run.

 

Certified coaches, Brenda Napholz and Cari Setzler of Fast Finish Coaching have been running the Zephyr Fun Runs for six years. They take place after cross country season beginning in November and end before Spring Break.

The Zephyr Fun Runs are open to middle school students and consist of a comfortable, conversational run anywhere from 2-4 miles with varying paths around downtown . The runs are held at 4:15 p.m. Thursdays (starting at ) and include Speed Play, Conquering Hills, Race Tips and Fun Running Facts.

"Fitness should be fun," Napholz said. "We keep them running. We want them to enjoy it enough to carry it into adulthood."

The Zephyrs Winter/Spring Track and Field Training (open to middle school students) will be starting Jan. 28 and is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Huntley Healthbridge.
