Prairie Grove's Zimmer Passed Over for Greenfield Superintendent Job

Prairie Grove District 46 Superintendent Lynette Zimmer was not selected to lead Greenfield School District.

Prairie Grove School District 46 will be keeping its superintendent.

District 46 superintendent Lynette Zimmer was one of two final candidates under consideration for a superintendent post in Greenfied School District in Wisconsin.

However, in the end, Zimmer was not selected for the position, Greenfield Patch reports.

Lisa Elliot, director of curriculum and instruction of the Nicolet School District in Wisconsin for the last two years, was tapped for the job. Elliott is also a former principal in Greenfield.

Zimmer has been the superintendent of Prairie Grove Consolidated School District 46 in Crystal Lake, since 2010.

Nearly 20 applicants expressed interest in the opening, and of the six candidates brought in for interviews, only Elliott did not have previous experience as a superintendent.

Elliott’s first official day will be July 1.
