2nd Death In Darien Motorcycle Crash: Cops
A woman was earlier pronounced dead at the site of the crash, police say.
DARIEN, IL — A second person has died as the result of a motorcycle accident that happened late last month in Darien, police confirmed Wednesday.
Ronald J. Circelli, 57, of Cicero, died this week, according to the Darien Police Department. He was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove after the accident.
The other victim was 57-year-old Laura Bala of Cicero. She was pronounced dead at the site of the crash, police said. Circelli's obituary referred to Bala as his companion.

About 6:30 a.m. Sept. 27, Darien police received a call from a passerby who saw a motorcycle in a ditch between North Frontage Road and the Cass Avenue ramp to southbound Interstate 55, according to a police statement to Patch. Officers found Circelli and Bala next to the motorcycle, police said.
A preliminary investigation showed the motorcycle was traveling east on North Frontage when it left the roadway through a fence and down an embankment, police said.

At Monday's Darien City Council meeting, officials discussed the state road where the crash happened. One official said the roadway is "quite a sharp turn."
