• ComEd Blamed For Holding Up Darien Condo Project (patch.com) — A 16-unit condo project at 1225 Plainfield Road in Darien is stalled as city officials blame ComEd and other utilities for slow sign-offs needed to record the plat. Public works director Dan Gombac says permits and stormwater work are ready, condos are expected to list around $350,000–$375,000, and the developer plans to press ComEd leadership after earlier utility delays on local lighting projects.
   

• When Darien Coffee, Custard Shops Are Expected To Open (patch.com) — New Dutch Bros Coffee and Andy's Frozen Custard locations are moving ahead at the former TGI Fridays site on 75th Street in Darien, with demolition done and construction permits issued. City officials say the popular project should open by early next year, answering many residents' questions about the busy corner and adding new options alongside similar locations in nearby suburbs.
