DARIEN, IL – A man who was at a Darien bar last month was robbed at gunpoint while walking home, police said.
Patch reported on the incident more than a month ago. It received the full police report this week through a public records request.
According to the report, the 46-year-old man gambled and drank at Q Bar, 8109 S. Cass Ave., before leaving about 7 p.m. Feb. 9.

Walking north on Cass near 79th Street, he noticed an older model white Toyota driving near him. Two men in the car got out, cussed at him and demanded his belongings, police said.
The driver pointed a handgun at the victim's lower back, police said. The man told officers that he handed the suspects his wallet, which contained $1,100, a credit card, his green card and Social Security card, according to the report.

The men then ran back to their car, police said. The victim told officers he ran home and that because he was scared, he did not notify police right away. Dispatchers were called an hour later.
Q Bar employees told officers that the victim had no issues with anyone inside the establishment, police said.
Police said they were able to find some surveillance footage, but it showed neither the Toyota in question nor the victim running home.
The victim described the first suspect as black, in his 30s, 5-foot-11, 190 to 200 pounds, having a mustache, and wearing a gray hoodie and black pants.
The second suspect was described as Hispanic, in his 30s, 5-foot-6, 130 to 150 pounds, and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
The incident happened about an hour after another reported armed robbery in Darien, but police do not believe they are related.
